NHS Ayrshire and Arran have set up a new travel health service. Basic travel immunisations will be given at a outpatient clinic at one of the local hospitals. The surgery no longer administers or provides information on travel vaccines.
The vaccines provided via NHS Scotland are:
- Hepatitis A
- Typhoid
- Diphtheria, Polio, Tetanus (combined vaccination)
- Cholera
To access this service you should go to the Fit for Travel website www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
This will provide you with the information you need and will ask you to contact NHS A&A Travel Health Service at [email protected] with your requirements.
For patients who do not have internet access, we are waiting for the Health Board to give us a number patients can call – as soon as we have this, we will post it here.
